OCAD is a school for
exploring different types, elements, forms and styles of art. When I went on a small field trip with my
class to OCAD we all separated to seek all of our interests inside the giant
school. Most of us didn’t separate and stayed with our partners I was one of
them. Seeing all the art was quite amazing because of all the effort was put
into each piece on display. I saw art that would turn from a painting to a
video such as a painting with a girl on it crying and then the girl would
literally walk out of the painting and into another. (Of course from a
projector) I saw awesome sculptures of bears, lobsters and other stuff.
Some art was just plain weird
and some was different from the other and some was just plain original. There
were so many floors (stairs) that we
saw but we didn’t have enough time to explore it all.
When it was time for lunch we
left the building and ate some food in a cafeteria. All the tables were taken
so we had to eat on the stairs. After that we all had to separate and stay with
our partners to take photos of downtown. My partner and me went really far in
the city and got a lot of unique photos together. My partner kind of hogged the
camera most of the time and managed to get a lot more pictures than me but I
was able to get enough for the trip. When the trip was over half of the class
split up because school was pretty much over. I followed my class all the way
back to the school then split up with them when I got there. OCAD was a very
fun experience for me and I wouldn’t mind doing more field trips like this one
again.
